Warranty
Two warranties, and who stands behind each
A roof has two promises on it. Keep them apart when you compare estimates.
The shingle maker's warranty
Covers the material against a defect. Read its terms, because many shingle warranties don't cover hail or wind damage.
Our workmanship warranty
Covers our labor: the install, the flashing and the details. Its length and what it leaves out are written on your estimate.
Who registers it
We register the shingle warranty and give you the papers. You keep them with the house.
About warranties
What does "lifetime" mean?
It depends on the maker. Usually it means for as long as you own the house, for a manufacturing defect, and often it is prorated after the first years. Ask to read the terms before you count on it.
What warranty do I get?
Two parts: the shingle maker's warranty on the material, and ours on the work. The terms, what each covers and who registers it are written on your estimate. We don't state a length until you can read its terms.
